Author of the recently released book, A Chosen Bullet, Bill grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where he was shot in neck and permanently paralyzed as a 17-year-old in 1989. From there, he set out on a path of endurance and perseverance ultimately earning a B.A and M.S in Journalism from the University of Illinois. He was a three-time member of Team USA wheelchair rugby winning Gold in the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics, the 1998 World Championships in Toronto and the 2000 Sydney Paralympics. With Amy, his lovely wife of 10 years, and their three children, Bill lives in Wesley Chapel, FL. Bill and Amy were touched by the gift of adoption when they adopted their oldest child Nico from Guatemala in 2006. They’ve been actively-involved members of Idlewild Baptist Church for over a decade.
