Joby is featured in 11 episodes of the nationally syndicated TV Show COMEDY@LARGE hosted by Thor Ramsey for the I-life and Inspiration networks. There you will see his increasingly popular “Joby’s Big Idea” segments.
His TV credits include; Thou Shalt Laugh, A&E, TNN, BANANAS, COMEDY@LARGE, the District for ABC, Goon Squad for COMEDY CENTRAL among numerous other appearances. His hour long special for the PAX network “Bananas”, has been cited as a favorite amongst viewing audiences as well as Guardian Studios (Executive Producers).
Many have compared his style with the physicality of Jim Carrey and the absurdist wit of Steve Martin. The past year has taken Joby from Comedy clubs in Montreal, Disney Cruises in the Bahamas, a big hit at the National Pastors Conference in San Diego, the Casinos in Atlantic City; Catch a Rising Star Comedy Clubs in Vegas and Reno NV along with clubs, colleges, churches and corporate performances nationwide.
In 2003 Joby had the honor of performing for our troops overseas. He received his orders directly from the department of defense!
Because of his clean style, Joby appeals to audiences of all ages from Jr. High School to senior citizens. Aside from headlining his own shows, he has been a member of Jeff Allen’s “Funny People of Faith” tour in churches across the country. Throughout his career, Joby has toured or worked with many top names in the industry: Louie Anderson, Rosanne Barr, Brian Reagan, Jeff Foxworthy, Chris Rock, Chris Titus, Paula Poundstone, Rodney Carrington, Adam Sandler.
The climax of Joby’s show takes the audience on an unusual sketch where he frantically tries on different pants. Each pair inspiring different characters like: “Ernesto the bullfighter”; a champion boxer; and “Francois” the cake decorator. Every character has its own corresponding musical accompaniment building to a hilarious visual the audience will never forget.
